This Android Studio Project is make simple Log in Screen Application Using Java and XML layout(UI).


  • Create a project named "LogInScreen" on android studio then finish.
  • Create a class named Main Activity


The MainActivity is:

import android.widget.Button;
import android.widget.EditText;
import android.widget.Toast;

 public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

     EditText username,password;
    Button Login;

     @Override
    protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);

         Login = (Button)findViewById(R.id.button_login);
        username = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.editText);
        password = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.editText2);

         Login.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
            @Override
            public void onClick(View view) {
                if (username.getText().toString().length()>0 & password.getText().toString().length()>0){
                    if (username.getText().toString().equals("ADMIN") & password.getText().toString().equals("ADMIN")){
                        Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),"Login Success",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
                    }else {
                        Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),"Login Failed",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
                    }
                }else {
                    Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),"Enter correct username or password",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
                }
            }
        });
    }

  • We need a XML file for "Main Activity" class it named "activity_main"

  • We need to defined all in Manifest
